greenleaf Directions

Donated by the late Mrs. Betty Towne, this 109-acre site — formerly known as the “Pink Plantation” — has a rich history in St. Charles County.  Following a devastating fire in 2004 that destroyed the home (which was built in 1828), restoration and park master planning is underway.  Park amenities will include the restored home, a botanical preserve, a fishing pond, natural trails, and picnic areas.

For its efforts to restore the former tobacco plantation, the Parks Department was recognized at the Missouri State Capitol in
Jefferson City by receiving the 2007 McReynolds Award from the Missouri Alliance for Historic Preservation.  The former Boyd plantation is being restored as a museum to honor the agricultural and natural history of the region.
