Picnic Shelters - Picnic shelters in our parks are designed to accommodate either 50 or 100 guests, depending upon their size and location. All shelters have electric service, lights, charcoal grills, and nearby restrooms. They may be rented for full-day periods (9 a.m.-until 1/2 hr. after sunset) on Monday thru Thursday. Weekends (Friday through Sunday) and holidays are full-day rentals (9 a.m.-until 1/2 hr. after sunset) . In addition, there is a Large-Group Picnic Area at Quail Ridge Park that may be reserved for gatherings that require space for up to 200 guests. Picnic shelters are available for rent in Broemmelsiek Park, Indian Camp Creek Park, Klondike Park, Quail Ridge Park and Towne Park. For picnic shelter reservations, please call 636.949.7535. Individual picnic tables may be available throughout each park on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no charge for these individual picnic tables.

Lakeside Pavilion - With a gorgeous lakeside view, the hexagonal-shaped pavilion at Indian Camp Creek Park is surrounded by a rocky landscape to create the perfect backdrop for keepsake photos, small weddings, and other special moments. The Lakeside Pavilion is rentable in minimum two-hour increments every day of the week for $60 per session. For information on availability, please call 636.949.7535.

- Reservations have priority.
- Surrounding area, including the eco-playground, remains open to the public.
- Chairs, food, drinks, rice, birdseed, and balloons are prohibited.
- Tents, canopies, or outside apparatus are prohibited.
- Vehicles must stay on the parking area at all times.
- Please do not use nails or staples and remove all signs and decorations before departure.
- The site is provided in "as is" conditions, please make sure it is clean for the next user.
- Your consideration for other guests and their use of the Pavilion is greatly appreciated.

Camping Facilities - There are two types of camping facilities found in St. Charles County Parks (tent sites and camping cabins). The sturdy cabins that sleep up to eight guests come equipped with a ceiling fan, light, electrical service, and an indoor table. Tent sites have a maximum of two tents or five guests per location and feature a table and fire ring. Camping cabins are available for rent in Klondike Park. Tent camping sites are available for rent in Indian Camp Creek Park (designated for large youth-group activities) and Klondike Park (open for individual and group activities). Fishing - Many of the St. Charles County parks offer an opportunity for fishing. There is no charge for fishing in our parks, but visitors must comply with the rules and regulations of the Missouri Department of Conservation. Lakes at Broemmelsiek Park, Indian Camp Creek Park, Klondike Park, Quail Ridge Park and Towne Park are stocked with bluegill, bass, and catfish, giving anglers an opportunity to enjoy their pastime and introduce friends and relatives to the activity. In addition, park visitors may fish the Mississippi River at Hideaway Harbor Park, the Missouri River at Klondike Park and Bangert Island, and the Big Creek and Indian Camp Creek at Indian Camp Creek Park. |

Off-Leash Dog Area - For a fun time with your furry friend, try out our Off-Leash Dog Areas. These fenced areas offer an opportunity for your pet to interact with other area dogs. There is no charge for using the facility, but dogs must be licensed and have an updated immunization record. The 1.5-acre Off-Leash Dog Area at Quail Ridge Park features separate areas for large and small dogs, plus a covered shelter. The 2.5-acre Off-Leash Dog Area at Broemmelsiek Park features a covered shelter, a grove of shade trees, and a small pond for water entertainment. Occasionally, due to inclement weather, the Parks Department is forced to close its dog parks in order to protect them from damage. Owners and their pets must comply with all posted rules of the park:

- Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries or damage caused by their dogs.
- Keep your dog on-leash while entering and exiting the dog park; carry leash at all times.
- Limit three dogs per person in off-leash area.
- For their safety, no children under the age of 8 years old in off-leash area.
- Supervise children over 8 years old closely while in the off-leash area.
- For safety reasons, please do not bring food, treats, or glass into the area.
- Never leave your dog unattended.
- License and immunize your dog and have proof of same.
- Please clean up after your pet. Doggie bags are provided.
- Aggressive dogs, female dogs in heat, and puppies under four months are not permitted.
- Owners must stop dogs from digging and fill any holes caused by their dog.
- Professional trainers may not use park to conduct business.
- Rules enforceable per St. Charles County Park Ordinances Section 250.050

Playground Areas - A variety of play areas (including swings, slides, climbing equipment, and other surprises) are offered within our parks. There is no charge for using the playground areas, and these facilities are open to all park guests. Playground areas may be found at Broemmelsiek Park, Indian Camp Creek Park, Klondike Park, Quail Ridge Park, Towne Park and the Youth Activity Park. |
Disc Golf Course - The Quail Ridge Park Disc Golf Course offers a nice mix of short and long holes that travel in and out of the woods along rolling terrain to challenge beginners and experts alike. Scorecards, with a map of the course, are available at the kiosk near Tee #1. Additionally, a six-hole disc-golf course is plotted on the open fields within the Youth Activity Park. There is no charge for using the disc golf courses. |

Boat Ramp Access - Two St. Charles County Parks Department facilities offer boat ramps that access the Mississippi or Missouri rivers. These ramps are free and open to all visitors, but individuals may not block access to the ramp with their trailers. These ramps are day-use only. Boat ramps are available at Hideaway Harbor Park (Mississippi River) and Klondike Park (Missouri River). For information on the closing of the boat ramp due to high water, please call 636.949.7475.

Nature Trails - Natural-surface and paved trails are open to hikers, bikers, and equine enthusiasts (where designated) to provide an opportunity to access more remote spots within our parks. These free trails offer close-up views of the native wildlife and flora. According to county ordinance, our trails are not open to any type of motorized vehicles. Hiking and biking trails are open at Bangert Island, Klondike Park, Matson Hill Park, Quail Ridge Park, Towne Park and the Youth Activity Park. Multi-use (hiking, biking, and horse riding) trails are open at Broemmelsiek Park and Indian Camp Creek Park. For information on the closing of the trails, please call 636.949.7475. Occasionally, due to inclement weather, the Parks Department is forced to close its natural-surface trails to bicyclists and horses in order to protect them from damage. Nature Preserves/Wetlands Areas - Devoted to maintaining the value of the land upon which our parks our built, the St. Charles County Parks Department has developed dedicated wetlands and natural prairie areas at each of our parks. Several pools, prairie land, and former commercial areas have been transformed into preservation areas that provide habitat for many species of wildlife and plants that are native to our area. |
