Broemmelsiek Park, Astronomy Viewing Area Every Friday Night (weather permitting)
Join members of the Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri for a viewing of the stars as they present a public open house for 2 hours beginning at dark. View far-away places through complex telescopes and discover secrets of the universe. All are welcome to attend. Opened in April 2008, the popular Astronomy Viewing Area, situated at Broemmelsiek Park, is the perfect location to explore the stars! The site offers 10 concrete viewing stations conveniently equipped with electrical service. This unique Astronomy Viewing Area presents a wonderful opportunity to gaze into the night skies.
