The St. Charles County Parks Department is teaming up with members of St. Louis Area Mountain Bikers (SLAMB) and Gateway Off-Road Cyclist (GORC) to present the Moonlight Bike Ride Series. Join experienced guides on a moonlight bike ride through some of St. Charles County’s most scenic natural surface park trails. Open to cyclists of all ages and skill levels, these relaxing bike rides through woods and prairies take place after the sun goes down. So grab your bike and light and let’s hit the trails at night! 

Moonlight Bike Rides will be offered the following dates and St. Charles County Park locations:
 

March 9 at Louis H. Bangert Memorial Wildlife Area (Bangert Island), entrance on Old South River Road off of Fifth Street in St. Charles from 7:30 – 10 p.m.

April 6 at Broemmelsiek Park, 1615 Schwede Road off of Highway DD (Winghaven Blvd.), south of O’Fallon from 8 – 10:30 p.m.

May 5 at Indian Camp Creek Park, 2679 Dietrich Road off of Highway 61 near Wentzville from 8:30 – 11 p.m.

June 2 at Matson Hill Park, 700 Matson Hill Road off of Highway 94 in Defiance from 9 – 11:30 p.m.

August 3 at Broemmelsiek Park, 1615 Schwede Road off of Highway DD (Winghaven Blvd.), south of O’Fallon from 8:30 – 11 p.m.

August 31 at Louis H. Bangert Memorial Wildlife Area (Bangert Island), entrance on Old South River Road off of Fifth Street in St. Charles from 8:30 – 11 p.m.

September 29 at Matson Hill Park, 700 Matson Hill Road off of Highway 94 in Defiance from 7:30 – 10 p.m.

October 28 at Indian Camp Creek Park, 2679 Dietrich Road off of Highway 61 near Wentzville from 6:30 – 9 p.m.

November 30 at Louis H. Bangert Memorial Wildlife Area (Bangert Island), entrance on Old South River Road off of Fifth Street in St. Charles from 6:30 – 9 p.m.

December 28 at Louis H. Bangert Memorial Wildlife Area (Bangert Island), entrance on Old South River Road off of Fifth Street in St. Charles from 5 – 7:30 p.m.

Participants must also provide their own equipment and wear bike-safety helmets. Lights are required.
